She's All That...? Why Won't SEIU's Andy Stern Endorse Anna Burger?

This post has been updated.  See update here.

What gives?  She's been at his side through thick and thin.  She's got friends in really high (and low) places.  And she's got this really cool purple lavender dress.

So, what gives?  Why won't Andy Stern endorse Anna Burger to be top dog over at the SEIU?

From Politico:
While Stern helped map out SEIU’s election year strategy, he won’t be around for its full implementation. Once his formal resignation date is set, the SEIU board will have 30 days to hold an election for his successor.

Two women have emerged as the primary candidates, including SEIU's International Secretary-Treasurer Anna Burger, who also oversees the union’s political operation. Stern said he will not make an endorsement. “The one thing I’m glad about is that my replacement will be a woman,” he added.

After all these years of Andy and Anna hand-picking who will run this local or that local, the Queen of Labor must be beside herself trying to pull that sharp thing out of her back.
