UPDATE: SEIU THUGS PLEAD NOT GUILTY TO BEATING CONSERVATIVE ACTIVIST

Big Government has the update on last year's alleged* beating of a conservative activist by SEIU thugs:
Last night in court the SEIU thugs seen pummeling Kenneth Gladney in the video pleaded not guilty.

Kenneth’s brother Keith sent the information:

We just found out that all the SEIU members plead not guilty to the charges and so we are going to trial.

Thank you,
 Keith Gladney

The case stems from this alleged* beating Kenneth Gladney suffered at the hands of SEIU activists at a townhall meeting in St. Louis.

* - Until guilt or innocence is proven, it must be an alleged beating (as opposed to Kenneth Gladney ran into the SEIU thugs' fists and feet).

A Tale of Two Protests: One Wants Less Taxation, AFSCME Wants More

Yesterday was Tax Day, the day when most Americans file their income tax returns and either shell out more money, or not.

Yesterday, there were protests going on all over the country by people who are fed up with government's runaway spending.

However, in Minneapolis, the recipients of the runaway spending, members of the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees were out at the post office handing out (in typical class warfare style) 'Tax the Rich' fliers.

Teamsters and Tea Party Activists: Kindred Spirits?

For a moment, let's ignore Teamster president James Hoffa's attack on Tea Party activists last week.  It seems as though at least one Teamster local has something in common with the American Tea Party movement: It doesn't like dumb taxes either.

In this case, it's a soda tax that Philadelphia's mayor, Michael Nutter, is proposing that has Teamsters local 830 popping mad.  You see, IBT 830 represents workers and drivers at the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Philadelphia and the mayor's new soda tax may be taking some fizz out of the members' jobs.

This had the Teamsters out protesting during the St. Patrick's Day this weekend.

"We understand that the city is broke. We get it. But it can't just be on the backs of my members. He's got to figure something else out," said Dan Grace, of the Teamsters.

Geez, Dan.  You're really not that different than a lot Tea Party activists.  You seem to understand that high taxes means few jobs.

Perhaps you can take your message to Washington, as well, Dan.

We hear there's a big rally coming up real soon and there will be a lot of people there who you might actually agree with.

Perhaps there's hope after all.
